"Just off the beaten path near Lake Jacomo, you'll find this hidden gem—Jacomo's Hunger Shack. It's the perfect spot whether the fish are biting or not! They serve up classics like an open-face tenderloin smothered in mashed potatoes and gravy, or crispy fried haddock with fries when you're in the mood for fish. Today I went for the hot chicken sandwich with fries, and wow—the large fried chicken breast dipped in their honey sriracha sauce was absolutely delicious. Sweet, spicy, crispy perfection on a soft bun. The crinkle-cut fries were hot and crunchy too. If you're still hungry (or just can't resist), they've got a bakery case full of fresh pies, those massive Chocolate Monster cookies loaded with goodies, and other homemade treats. The whole place has a cool, laid-back lake vibe with gift shop goodies, t-shirts, and more. Great food, friendly spot, and worth the detour. Highly recommend!"

"Great place, definately not fast food, the service is fast and the food is fresh. I've had the Tenderloin and Colbern burger. My son has had the Cheese Steak and a Double cheese burger. The fries and onion rings are great!"

"So glad we found this place. The food was amazing and the staff was so friendly. Not very large but well worth the trip. The background music was very enjoyable as well. Dad said the tenderloin was the best he ever had and I got the Peanut Butter burger and it was so delicious."

"Absolutely loved the vibe here. The decor is on point—plants everywhere, candles and little ticket-style details for sale—it feels creative, cozy, and intentionally different in the best way. The menu is fun and inventive, and even though the place was pretty full, there was no wait to get in or sit down. We waited about 10 minutes for food, which is totally reasonable considering several people were ahead of us. The space appeared clean and well-kept, even during the rush. Definitely feels like a locals’ spot—welcoming, laid-back, and authentic. Solid experience all around, and I’d 100% go back."
